Fantastic Four: First Steps is set to be my favourite Marvel film for quite a while. I love the characters and also had a secret small part in the making of this movie, so it is very special to me. Ben Grimm, also known as The Thing, is a founding member of The Fantastic Four. He was transformed into a super-strong rock creature after exposure to cosmic rays. He has a big heart and great sense of humour, but a reluctance to say his famous catchphrase “It’s Clobberin’ Time!”.

All artwork was originally hand-drawn from photo reference and is completely original. Each drawing takes 8-10 hours to complete. As you can see I try to include as much fine detail as possible. These are drawn on Clairefontaine ‘Natural’ paper which is best described as ‘Sand-coloured’, and this paper allows me to accentuate the highlights to give these images a real kick.
